Jordan Kingston

And the Unknown?

_____ 1st Chapter _____

Preface

What this world needs is some good old-fashioned “G” rated imagination. So with this in mind, I started writing.

Are extraterrestrials spying on us? Did people see flying saucers? How about those crop circles? Have you ever thought there are aliens and flying saucers flying around making them? Or, are there just some pranksters out there having fun in the fields? What about Roswell, New Mexico? In July 1947, a craft crashed in the desert. The Roswell Army Airbase was involved in recovering the craft, and there were possibly, "bodies" reported?

Okay. Now, truthfully, what do you think?

Have you seen a UFO, or do you know of someone who swears they have seen one?

Jordan Kingston, the main character along with his best friend (and cousin), Brayden, explore the possibilities that aliens visited earth thousands of years ago, and maybe even now. Jordan is a believer in "Alientology," a word coined to describe the study and belief in aliens and how they have impacted human civilization. Jordan's believes in the possibility that extraterrestrials did visit the Earth in ancient times giving knowledge and guidance to ancient civilizations, so as to advance their cultures. He is always thinking, “why were they here? where did they go? and what are they doing now?”

You have the book open, so get in and enjoy the journey through Jordan’s adventures trying to find out as much as he can about Aliens and UFOs.

Getting to Know Jordan

Jordan is an eighteen-year-old young boy living in a small Michigan community along shores of Lake Michigan between Muskegon and Grand Haven. His best friend and cousin, Brayden, is fifteen years old. They like spending time together setting up a tent on the hill behind Jordan's parents’ house, and camping. Jordan's father has cleared out an area back in the woods and also made them a fire pit for them to enjoy a campfire. It's a job hand carting all their camping gear up and along the winding 15-minute trail to the campsite, but well worth it once they are there. Jordan and Brayden often sit in their lawn chairs so they can recline, and gaze up at the stars at night. Jordan will often talk about what might be up there among all of those stars.

It's late spring, and the weather is beautiful, so camping is a sure thing. Tonight is a cool evening with clear skies, just right for stargazing as the sun is setting. Jordan is a believer in aliens, that they have visited earth, and still may be here. Brayden is a nonbeliever and thinks that aliens are just fiction and something fun to talk about.

Jordan looks over at Brayden. "It's a beautiful night for our first camp out."

Brayden nods his head in a yes motion, "the stars are starting to show nicely as the sun sets."

They had just finished eating the hot dogs that they had roasted over the fire. With full bellies and cool colas in their hands, they both relax in their chairs to gaze up at the stars.

Brayden looks up. "I wonder if we can see the space lab tonight?"

"That's a good question,” says Jordan after a short pause. "I should have asked Grandpa if it would be possible to see the space lab tonight."

Grandpa is there to answer their questions. He would try his best to find solutions to their questions and they always enjoy talking with Grandpa.

When talking with Grandpa, Jordan would ask simple questions like, “Are aliens green?” Brayden would expand the questions with, “and do they have pointed heads, big eyes, pointed ears, and only three toes?” Brayden is always full of questions. Jordan would just sit back and let Brayden pump Grandpa with his questions; and enjoy watching them go at each other.

Jordan takes a sip of his cola and looks up at the stars. "I wonder how many of those stars can be planets, maybe like earth."

Brayden replies, "it’s just mind blowing trying to think how big it is out there, and how many stars and planets that we can't even see. And how far are some of them out there, from earth? You know that with our rocket's traveling speed of seven miles a second in space, Mars is a six-month travel time from Earth."

Jordan looks over at Brayden and says, "how do you remember all those crazy facts? It's hard enough just to try to spot the Space Lab, and then try to calculate distance, and time in space to Mars or any of the other planets."

Brayden is still just looking up. "I haven't seen the lab yet. We'll have to ask Grandpa tomorrow; when is the best time to spot it?"

Jordan is looking out at the stars. "I can't wait until the lake warms up so we can go swimming," as he changes the subject.

"Yes," answers Brayden.

They both sat for a while staring up at the sky when Brayden says, "I really would like to try kiteboarding on the big lake. I think that would be fun.

"I hear that they give kiteboarding lessons at the Grand Haven state park. But I don't know if you can rent kiteboarding stuff for lessons. We have seen guys out there kiteboarding, and when they hit some of those waves, I have seen them hit a wave and the kite lift them up in the air for a short distance. Now that looks like fun!" says Jordan as he looks over at Brayden.

"Yeah, that does look cool and fun!" Jordan replies "it might give me a feeling of speed, and a flying sensation like aliens flying."

They both just sit back thinking about summer, as they gaze up at the stars in the sky.

It's cooling off now as the sun is going down, so Jordan throws a couple more pieces of wood on the fire.

Brayden points up, "Look, there is a shooting star. Cool!"

Jordan turns. "Yes, I see it; I wonder how fast it is going." Now thinking, oh no, I did it again, Brayden will have something to reply about that.

Brayden is looking at the other stars out there. "I don't know how fast a shooting star is, they all have different speeds. Talking speed, just think of the speed of light. One of those stars could have exploded a hundred years ago, and its light is still showing; and we still can see it from here tonight."

They sit in their chairs for a while staring at the campfire. It is peaceful sitting around the campfire. Soon they are both ready to hit the sack. Jordan was taught to put out the campfire before turning in for the night. It was easy because most of the wood is gone, so all they had to do was break the fire up. In a few minutes the flames were out. So in the tent they went, and into their insulated bags. They will keep them toasty for the night

"Just think about the first space capsules that were sent up into space; they were smaller than this tent. The capsule that went to the moon couldn't have been much bigger than this tent,” says Jordan as he is looking around in the tent.

“Can you imagine staying in something this size for days in space?" Brayden asks.

"Yes, that had to have been something to ride into space on something of that size. The astronauts had to have been brave people not knowing if they would return back to Earth."

As time went by, they talked about early space travel, ending up with what kind of spacecraft do the aliens have and how big are they? They could go on all night talking space, aliens, and UFOs. As the time went on, their talking became less and less until they both fell asleep.

Their camping nights would often go on with lengthy discussions about life forms on worlds somewhere out in space, and Jordan talking extraterrestrials. Brayden would always try to disprove Jordan's alien beliefs.
